Our Community Outreach
Jay First Baptist Church provides many opportunities for outreach to the community. We encourage and expect each church member to be involved in serving our community. The list below describes some of the ways our church impacts the surrounding area.
Van Ministry
Our van ministry provides opportunities for children who would not otherwise have a ride to attend our services. If you would like to schedule a pickup for your children, call the church office at 850-675-4587 for more information.
Clothes & Food Closet
The Jay First Baptist Church clothes and food closets are open each week on Tuesdays between the hours of 9:30 a.m -11:30 a.m. The food closet is provided by a partnership between Jay First Baptist Church and the Manna Food Bank.
Dental Clinic
With the help of the Florida Baptist Convention, Jay First Baptist Church sponsors an annual dental clinic to provide dental care to those who otherwise would not receive treatment. This year, the dental bus will be at the church during the week of May 10-14, 2010. The sign-up date for this year's Dental Clinic will be on April 6, 2010. Please contact the church office for more information.
Jay Walking Outreach Ministry
The Jay Walking Outreach Ministry is a community outreach ministry that encourages church members to get out of the building and into the community. This ministry has several ongoing projects including wheelchair ramp construction, minor home repairs and other similar projects. The Jay Walking Outreach Ministry holds an annual event in which four specific areas of outreach are focused on. These areas include kindness evangelism, hospital outreach, a construction ministry, and community projects.
